A woman called a groom out on TikTok for “disrespecting” his bride with a vow prank gone mistaken.

I will preface this via saying that, as a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ neighborhood, I may be a little biased with this commentary, even though I can inform it anyway. Some heterosexual other people have a odd means of expressing their love for one another.

Between phrases like “ball and chain” for males to explain their better halves and ladies proudly calling their husbands their “biggest headache” and repeatedly evaluating them to the couple’s children, some couples make their relationship appear to be the rest however #baegoals.

In October 2023, a TikToker named Shawnda (@lifecoachshawn) shared a post of a man who determined to “humiliate” his spouse, however now not with one of the he-man woman-hating words many are used to. Instead, the groom used a piece of paper that learn “Help Me” to prank his bride.

During the video, the groom seems at his bride as their wedding officiant instructs him to read his vows. As Douglas, the groom, prepares to say his vows, he pulls out a piece of paper, pointing out he “wrote them down” as a result of he was once “a little frightened.” The bride beams to the audience earlier than she notices writing on the back of her future husband’s paper.

Once the bride sees the phrases “Help Me” on the paper, her pleasure right away turns to surprise as she doesn’t in finding the groom’s prank funny. She then hits her man with a bouquet as he reads off the paper, mentioning to his bride, “It’s a joke.” A bad one, Doug. A nasty one!

Shawnda responds to a TikTok video of a groom writing "help me" on his vows.

The TikToker who answered to the groom’s prank shamed him for getting a “reasonable laugh.”

After sharing the clip, Shawnda replied along with her take on the groom’s poorly delivered prank. The TikToker and life trainer first posed a legitimate query: “What is it about a man who's at the altar with the woman that he has proposed to right earlier than he promises to love, honor, and cherish her that makes him need to humiliate that lady?”

Shawnda then gave a number of other circumstances of grooms opting to embarrass their brides on their wedding day, including smashing cake in their face (one I have ALWAYS despised — damage my makeup if you want to!) or “disrespecting her within the vows” for nagging him about his well being, cleanliness, or different “dull” subjects.

The TikToker then said she refused to “respect” the groom for the use of his wedding vows as a strategy to get a “reasonable snigger” from a “dry” crowd.

“It's not time for jokes,” Shawnda declared in her TikTok. “A ‘lend a hand me’ signal? Like she's keeping you hostage? A lazy snort. It wasn’t even price it. The juice wasn’t even worth the squeeze.”

Shawnda ended her TikTok by means of bringing up that the lady recording the groom’s unsolicited prank on his bride used to be the only one seemingly playing his infantile humor.

Many TikTokers side-eyed the groom — and a wedding visitor with one massive funny bone — within the feedback.

In Shawnda’s feedback, many users agreed that the guest recording the prank will have to quit her drink price tag.

“Maybe the digicam woman will have to marry him if she thinks he is so humorous... 💀,” one commenter mentioned.

“The one recording doesn’t like the bride,” any other said. “That’s why she’s the only one giggling LOUD.”

Amid the digital side-eyes of Doug and his bride’s obnoxious wedding visitor, many TikTok users felt horribly for the bride. Hopefully, she’s conscious that Shawnda and those who watched her husband’s foolery totally strengthen her.

“I wasn’t giggling. Did you all see the bride’s face? 😔,” one user stated.

“Girl, marry the pastor. He’s foine 👀,” an extra commenter instructed.
