In the decade, quite a lot of millennial-favorite sitcoms have made much-awaited returns to TV — Full House, Boy Meets World, and Saved By the Bell are only a few 90s favorites that gained spinoffs 20 or so years later. However, there have been somewhat a few rumored reboots that unfortunately by no means came to fruition, such as Lizzie McGuire and Clarissa Explains It All.

If you don't recall, Clarissa Explains It All was a 90s Nickelodeon teen vintage with a tentative reboot that has been in the works for slightly some time now. And it seems that, we don't seem to be the one ones eagerly waiting for its return — Distractify was lucky enough to talk with the unique big name, Melissa Joan Hart, in an unique telephone interview at the standing of the sequence, and what else the liked actress has been doing recently.

Here's what we know about the status of the 'Clarissa Explains It All' reboot:

Clarissa Explains It All aired on Nickelodeon for five seasons from 1991 to 1994 with Melissa Joan Hart as the titular Clarissa, navigating life as a standard American teen. Throughout each and every episode, Clarissa persistently hits the fourth wall to tell audience how she's feeling and provides her side of the tale in regard to various life events, from happening her first date to buying her first automotive.

As Clarissa used to be Melissa's first primary TV position, the actress tells us she was incredibly excited to look the sequence go back as a reboot nearly three decades after the series finale and he or she was relatively concerned with its rumored comeback. However, regardless of her efforts to make it come to lifestyles, it seems like it won't happen.

"[The Clarissa reboot] has been talked about for a long while, and the ball is kind of in Nickelodeon’s court," Melissa tells us. "We worked out some contracts, but it never came to fruition. So, I’m really not sure where that is right now."

She says she still holds out hope for Clarissa to make a extremely expected return, but it sounds iffy, to say the least.

"But I mean, as soon as I'm allowed to, I'll yell hit from the rooftops," she says. "But, I don't really see it happening anytime soon."

Despite the reboot's murky future, Melissa Joan Hart continues to be busy running.

Although we are forever devastated that Clarissa may not come again to network TV for the foreseeable future, Melissa hasn't stopped pursuing her passion of running in entrance of and in the back of the camera. The sitcom famous person had the chance to direct, act in, and produce a handful of Lifetime Christmas motion pictures firstly of the coronavirus lockdowns, which aired in the 2020 vacation season — but she has a few extra initiatives in the works.

"I'll be heading out to Los Angeles next week to direct an episode of Young Sheldon, so I’m excited to get back to work. I'm actually working on another series right now involving something else for myself that's a reboot of another show, of a not-well-known show from the U.K.," she says.

"I'm not allowed to say more [about the project] right now, but hopefully we'll have more news later on this year... we just need a writer to figure out what the U.S. version of the series is, and then we'll be able to start production."

Work aside, Melissa has been ready to spend more time with circle of relatives because of the pandemic.

Despite the tumultuous yr that was once 2020, Melissa was once overjoyed so to spend more time with family. She says she just lately moved into a new house along with her husband and three kids, where they have enjoyed spending a lot of high quality time.

"Moving helped us feel like we haven’t been stuck in the same place the whole time, so I feel like we've been lucky to clean our house and say goodbye to it," she explains.

"For the first time in my life, I've had the time to watch TV with my family and my husband.. we have a few different shows going on right now — my husband and I are watching Yellowstone, I just started watching Bridgerton (which I watch after my husband falls asleep!). I just finished The Queen's Gambit and The Crown, and with the kids, we just started The Wonder Years. I never really watched it, so it’s been fun," she tells us.

Melissa Joan Hart also partnered with Lunchables to assist other families get during the pandemic.

We’re trying to find these small wins and I think these are definitely some small wins."

While Melissa is obviously disillusioned that a Clarissa reboot won't occur, the Hollywood extraordinaire is staying busy with paintings and circle of relatives — she is actually doing it all.
