Does Quentin Come Back in Season 5 of 'The Magicians'?

Showrunners Sera Gamble and John McNamara have confirmed that Quentin is definitely dead and will not be revived. "To be totally candid, I think that the answer and proof of the finality will lie in the articles and the press, because we are saying Jason is leaving the show under great circumstances. It was a mutual decision. He will confirm that. He is no longer part of the cast," John advised Vulture back in April 2019.
When requested if they'd throw enthusiasts a bone and come with a different Quentin timeline, John replied by means of saying, "There is no other timeline version of him planned, no." For those who pointed out the truth that The Magicians has brought back other characters like Penny and Alice, executive manufacturer Henry Alonso Myers has a thoughtful resolution for that.
"We killed Alice, and she came back changed. But we killed Penny, and we tried to offer a different perspective on that, and so that Penny went away. As for Jason's thoughts about his persona's finish? "It’s funny, it all felt kind of natural when we started talking about it before the season started," he told Entertainment Weekly.
