Charles joined the Riverdale cast as Reggie after 13 Reasons Why actor Ross Butler made his go out from the series. Since then, he’s been entangled in a three-way love triangle between Archie and Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), which is a factor of the past in Season 6.
With Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) wearing Archie’s child for a time and Veggie turning into the most tough couple in town, issues are taking a look up for the gang — that is till Archie is brutally murdered via Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) in a sacrificial ritual and Reggie makes a deal with the devil (actually).
In “Chapter Nighty-Eight: Mr. Cypher,” Reggie tells Veronica that he permitted a financial investment from Satan in exchange for his soul.
He explains, “When we have been looking for buyers, I were given an incoming call from him, he said he could provide us with the relaxation of the cash we would have liked in alternate for … a soul. My soul,” he adds. “And he’s here to assemble it this Saturday night, at the hours of darkness. You gotta assist me. If any individual can outwit the Devil, Ronnie, it’s you.”
Despite Veronica’s efforts, Reggie is sentenced to eternal damnation and sent to the pits of hell. But that doesn’t imply that we’ve seen the remaining of Charles Melton. Charles has but to reveal the persona’s fate on Riverdale, however it's going to take either a miracle or magic to bring him back. Luckily, there’s a new witch in the town who has mastered the latter.
