Mike the mouse used to be a fan favourite in 'Sing,' launched in 2016. But he doesn't seem in 'Sing 2.' Here's why his personality used to be cut.
In 2016, Sing was released. In the popular movie, we meet koala undergo Buster Moon, a struggling theater proprietor, who holds a singing festival to prevent his theatre from entering foreclosures. His pageant attracts an eclectic staff of animals of species and genres.

In 2021, Sing 2 used to be released and a large number of things had been other. For starters, fan-fave Mike the mouse was once nowhere to be observed. But what was even stranger, is that the movie by no means addressed his absence. Not one peep was once mentioned about Mike.
So what offers? Below we unpack why Mike wasn't in Sing 2.

Who is Mike from 'Sing?'
Voiced by means of Seth MacFarlane, Mike is a hustling street musician mouse who best seems in Sing. He sought after three things in life: cash, fame, and women. He got here off as boastful and grasping and didn't even try to mask the indisputable fact that he concept he used to be better than everyone else. So much so, that he purchased a flashy car prior to the making a song competition as a result of he assumed he would win the prize cash and be wealthy.
However, as a musician, Mike did have the pipes and skill. He mostly performed jazz songs, comparable to Frank Sinatra's "My Way."
Mike had white fur and was once normally observed wearing a pink suit with a crimson fedora, in addition to a black tie and sneakers.

What happened to Mike in 'Sing 2?'
Since the movie never addressed Mike's absence in Sing 2, fans have come up with their own theories — and maximum of them declare Mike has died in some over-the-top approach. Some believe his playing habit may have wiped him dry and he used to be eaten through the bears in consequence.

In a Reddit submit, u/itsamemario_o shared a screenshot of a Google search that claimed director Garth Jennings mentioned Mike died after being gang-raped. But once again, it sort of feels extremely not likely that a PG film would kill a character off like that. That submit will have been easily photoshopped.

In a different Reddit put up, we in spite of everything get an answer that if truth be told turns out possible. In a thread about Sing 2, consumer u/Guiee asked if Mike had died in the first film.
u/RiffRaffe replied, "No. I attended Q&A with director Garth Jennings and he said if he gets to do another one he may bring Mike back. He said he loves Seth McFarlane's singing and performance but he had enough of the character."
Now, that makes sense! Plus, it offers us hope that there generally is a Sing 3 in the works. Finger crossed!
