'Swamp People's Randy Edwards died at the age of 35. Here's what happened.
Currently in its 10th season, History Channel's Swamp People has been going robust since 2010. The truth collection follows alligator season in Louisiana's Atchafalaya River Basin, which starts on the first Wednesday in September and lasts exactly 30 days.

We watch used to be these proud descendants of French Canadian refugees risk their lives to hunt as many alligators as possible right through this 30-day length. While a few of these high-risk hunters earn the most part of their annual income culling alligators, many others spend the remainder of the year harvesting different species.

Each season, Swamp People follows other teams of alligator hunters. And no group is has endeared us extra through the years than the Bayou Sorrel Edwards. Willie Edwards has been going robust on the collection since the pilot episode.
Although Willie prior to now filmed alongside his members of the family Junior and Randy, he is at it on my own in Season 10 of the display. So why is Junior now not on the truth sequence? According to In Touch, Junior used to be part of a dozen stars who were laid off from the display following Season 6.

But what happened to Randy?
It's with a heavy heart that we record Willie's brother, Randy Edwards, has hunted his remaining alligator and died final September at the age of 35. As the circle of relatives wrote on Facebook, "It is in deep sadness that I make this post. Junior and Theresa's son, Willie's brother, Randy passed away in a vehicle accident early this morning. Randy was 35."

"Please keep the Edwards family in your prayers and also please respect their privacy at this time," the post concluded.
According to police, the auto crash happened in the early morning hours of September 15. It feels like he may have been using underneath the influence and crashed his automotive into a application pole.

"Shortly before 3 a.m. on September 15, 2018, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Trop A began investigating a single vehicle fatality crash on LA 75 south of LA 3066 in Iberville Paris," the Louisiana State Police document read. "The crash took the life of 35-year-old Randy Edwards of Donaldsonville."
"The initial investigation by State Police revealed that the crash occurred as Edwards was traveling southbound on LA 74 in a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve," the report continues. "Edwards' vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. Edwards' vehicle began to overturn after impact, causing him to be ejected."

The police concluded that impairment used to be "suspected to be a factor" and picked up a toxicology sample for research from Randy after he used to be discovered deceased on the scene.
Randy left behind a spouse and three children, except for his brother and family members Swamp People enthusiasts know from the display.

"He was a pipefitter and fisherman," his obituary learn. "Randy was an amazing father, a loving and caring son who was devoted to his family. His bond was one of a kind and unbreakable with his brother and sister. He loved to work, hunt and fish. He never met a stranger and touched many lives."
Randy's is not the primary Swamp People death.
Randy is the second forged member Swamp People viewers have had to say good-bye to. Back in 2012, Mitchell Guist of Gonzeles, Louisiana suffered an accident while loading items onto his boat.
