As Season 9 of Fox’s hit sequence The Masked Singer approaches the finale, the competition is getting pretty stiff. The singers are showcasing their talents, entertaining the target market and judges, and proceeding to go away viewers stumped on their identities, together with the latest addition — Mantis.

The April Five episode is titled “Movie Night,” and Mantis’s gown takes on the identification of an actor from a Warner Bros. movie. Since Mantis dons a quite iconic outfit many take note from the 1984 film Footloose, most viewers are convinced that the masked singer is a famous actor.

So, who is Mantis on The Masked Singer?

Mantis on 'The Masked Singer' — The Clues

We had a little taste of who Mantis could be with these clues:

  • A leather jacket
  • Great dance strikes
  • Unique swagger

However, that used to be only the end of the iceberg.

Now, we have a few extra to head off of. Mantis carried out “Old Time Rock and Roll” via Bob Seger on the April Five episode of the display. The efficiency gave us a few more clues:

“True Story," Mantis said. “Representing a legend was instrumental to my success, and it was an honor to do so.” This statement from Mantis left us with more questions than answers. We’ll need to keep tuning in to find out more.

“Movie Maverick.” Mantis said, “I’ve won awards for my independent spirit, but the real reward is having more movie credits than Ken.”

Mantis gave us a wonderful performance of “You Really Got Me” by The Kinks on April 26. Plus, we had a whole new slew of clues to contemplate:

Mantis on 'The Masked Singer' — The Guesses

Mantis appears to have a rough, masculine aura that leaves us to believe that it could be a male talent behind the mask. Before the performance, judge Jenny McCarthy shared a guess in a preview clip that The Masked Singer is none other than Kevin Bacon.

Following the April 19 performance, the judges had a lot to go off of with this one, so let’s see what they thought. Robin guessed Dennis Quaid. Ken’s guess was Bruce Springsteen and Nicole thinks Mantis is Keanu Reeves.
