Those who apply evangelical radio host Dr. Tony Evans had been shocked by means of the inside track that he had made up our minds to step down from his position as the senior pastor at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas. Tony made the announcement and stated that it used to be because of a sin he had committed years in the past, but he didn't offer any additional main points.

Who is Tony Evans's new wife?

Tony's first wife, Lois Evans, died in 2019 at the age of 70 after a fight with bile duct cancer.

“As she slipped away, we told her how a lot we adore her, how proud we are of her, and the way thankful we're for the lifestyles she has lived," Tony wrote in a Facebook post following her death. “We are what we are because of her.”

The two shared four children together.

Four years later, Tony married Carla Crummie in November 2023. Carla worked as an educator and volunteer before their relationship. According to her church bio, she also worked as a kindness ambassador for a Christian Bible teaching and resource ministry.

"Carla’s non-public imaginative and prescient is centered round supporting widows and kids, in addition to encouraging ladies and pastors’ better halves to meet their God-given roles and responsibilities with joy," the website says.

Tony stepped down from the church because of a sin.

Tony, who was also the founder of Oak Cliff, made the announcement that he would step down without offering much explanation as to why.

"The basis of our ministry has at all times been our commitment to the Word of God as the absolute supreme usual of truth to which we are to evolve our lives," his statement read. "When we fall in need of that normal due to sin, we're required to repent and restore our courting with God."

"A lot of years ago, I fell short of that ordinary. I am, due to this fact, required to use the same biblical usual of repentance and recovery to myself that I've applied to others," he continued. "I have shared this with my wife, my kids, and our church elders, and they have got lovingly placed their arms of grace round me. While I have dedicated no crime, I did not use righteous judgment in my actions."

"In mild of this, I'm stepping away from my pastoral duties and am submitting to a therapeutic and recovery procedure established through the elders. This will have enough money me a wanted time of religious restoration and healing," he added.

Tony also took steps to encourage those in his congregation to stay loyal to the church and to God.

"As we walk this journey in combination, stay your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith," he advised his congregation. It's unclear what is also next for the pastor now.
