Gail Simmons' first date along with her husband, Jeremy Abrams, coincided with the Stanley Cup Finals.
Gail and her now-husband, Jeremy Abrams, initially hail from Canada, and so they both moved to New York as adults. The two bonded over their an identical backgrounds, and they were buddies for about a year prior to things grew to become romantic between them.
"Eventually we started looking at each other differently, realized that we were attracted to each other and started dating," Gail shared concerning the starting of their relationship, according to Streets of Toronto.
For their first date, Gail and Jeremy went to a birthday party for the outlet of a restaurant in New York City. The birthday party took place to happen on the evening that the New Jersey Devils gained the Stanley Cup, and the gamers ended up at the bar above the restaurant.
The hockey stars introduced the real Stanley Cup with them, and Gail ended up consuming champagne out of it.
"Even to this day, Jeremy and I talk about that night all the time," Gail quipped to Streets of Toronto. "The Stanley Cup brought us together."

After years of courting and a couple of yr when they got engaged, Jeremy and Gail wed in August of 2008 at The Foundry in Long Island City, NY. The bride wore a Carolina Herrera dress, and a veil from her mom's wedding ceremony 42 years previous. Their wedding ceremony had a farmers' marketplace theme, and it was featured in Martha Stewart Weddings.

The spouses proportion two kids in combination.
More than 5 years after their 2008 Long Island City nuptials, Gail and Jeremy welcomed their first kid together, a daughter named Dahlia Rae. Gail was once if truth be told pregnant with Dahlia when she filmed Top Chef: New Orleans (which used to be Season Eleven of the Bravo series), though she did not tell any of the cheftestants at the time.
"The chefs didn't know I was pregnant," Gail said, according to USA Today. She saved the scoop away from the contestants as a result of she was "very newly pregnant" once they filmed.
"It was no one's business. And I wasn't showing so it didn't matter," she added. "It really wasn't an issue. I was worried it would be, but it wasn't a problem."

Gail gave start to the couple's second kid, a son named Kole Jack, in May of 2018. The Top Chef staple infrequently features her two kids on her Instagram feed.
